If you don’t have a solid understanding of the meaning of Genesis 1 (especially the significance of day 7), you are really prone to misunderstanding things throughout the rest of the Bible.
I can’t tell you how many times people have wrongly quoted and misapplied Paul’s letters in ways that contradict the message and meaning of Genesis 1.
Entire movements and denominations are built upon verses that are misinterpreted in light of the first page of the Bible, which Paul understood and was undoubtedly thinking about as he wrote much of what he wrote.
To better understand that chapter, this is a good place to start. I’m confident spending a few months pulling out meaning from and applying that chapter alone would bring transformation to your life.
